Bandra West, Mumbai Est. 1954

Three generations of Pukar craftsmanship, in the heart of Bandra.

72 years of
quiet distinction

A Bandra original, since 1954

Three generations.
One enduring standard.

Pukar Printing Press was founded by Mr. Taher Khety, whose belief in precision, personal attention and the dignity of a thing well made set the house in motion. It was carried forward by his sons, Mr. Najmuddin Khety and Mr. Shabbir Khety, who made the press a trusted name across Mumbai’s cultural and commercial life.

Today, Mr. Khozema Khety—grandson of the founder—leads Pukar into its next chapter. He has reshaped its operations as a design-centred practice, with a particular focus on prototype making and designing: taking a private vision from the first considered form to an object that can be held, shared and remembered.

Present for the important moments

Clients came to know the people behind Pukar as family.

Mr. Shabbir Khety was invited into the celebrations, milestones and private moments of the families he worked with—not as a supplier, but as someone trusted to work through the night until every detail was right. That closeness is part of the Pukar legacy: a relationship carried from one idea, and one generation, to the next.
